I'm a software engineer. I have been for 35+ years.

These days I write C and Rust full-time, mostly on PostgreSQL — both contributing to the upstream project and building extensions (pg_mentat, pg_infer, pg_tre, and others). By day I'm a senior engineer at Amazon Web Services on the Amazon DocumentDB team. The opinions on this site are mine, not theirs.
